Funeral Services
“A proper send-off”
It would be my honour to help you plan the funeral you want for your loved one, at a crematorium, cemetery or elsewhere. There are many types of funeral services, all of which can be highly personalised, enabling you to say farewell in the way you would like.
I can be as involved as you’d like me to be – I can organise all of it, or I can accompany you and simply be the officiant on the day. I also offer personalised eulogy writing.
Memorials & Celebration of Life
“Some stars shine well after they’ve gone”
Memorials and Celebration of Life ceremonies can happen after someone has already been cremated (direct cremation) or buried, and can take place away from the funeral setting. They aren’t typically religious or traditional, although they can be if you choose.
They focus on the joy your loved one brought into the world and the impact they had on the people in their lives – a time to gather, share stories and give thanks for a life well lived. I can help you choose the location, whether a garden, by a lake or even abroad, as well as the music and readings.
Scattering of Ashes
“A place to remember”
These ceremonies take place at a location that meant something to your loved one – a poignant place for you and your family to remember them. They can take place at any time, even years after someone has been cremated.
I can help you choose the location, advise whether you are legally permitted to scatter there, and help with the readings. On the day I officiate and say the words that help you say goodbye. I can also organise the whole event, so you have little to think about.
Interment of Ashes
Simple and low-key
Interments are where ashes are buried in the ground. Like scattering ceremonies they can take place at any time, at a significant location, but are much more simple, with only a few short readings – and you will still have a place to visit.
I can help you choose the receptacle, the location and the readings, and advise on what is legally permitted.
Bespoke Ceremonies
“As I’d like it”
Plan your own funeral ceremony well in advance, from start to finish, with your own words and wishes. I can help you write your own life story (eulogy) and sort the practical elements – from the readings and flowers to the music and guests.
When the time comes, I will work with your chosen funeral director to carry out your wishes and conduct the service or, if this is not possible, ensure that a trusted colleague does so on my behalf. Your plan can be amended or updated at any time, and I will keep a copy.
It is always your choice
Every ceremony is created together with you. I can support you with the music, the readings and the order of the day – whatever your wishes are.
